The Story So Far

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA NATIVE Buck Ford took an unusual route to becoming a Country Music Artist. First rising to prominence as a professional motocross racer, Buck competed throughout his teens, receiving a full-ride endorsement with Honda for the West Coast Supercross Series in 2009. Success at racing requires natural talent, a strong professional work ethic and relentless dedication — traits Buck had in spades... but there was something else on his mind.

In 2010, Buck retired from racing to pursue his first love, traditional Country Music. Beginning with guest appearances at local music venues, followed by time living in Nashville, Buck honed his songwriting, live and studio performing skills to a fine edge. Forming his own band and touring widely, Buck quickly developed a strong following with his natural, welcoming stage presence. Six Nashville-produced albums and three singles later, all cut with elite sidemen and first-rate production, Buck has transitioned smoothly to the modern streaming model (over 12,000 social media followers and over a million Spotify streams), adding digital creator to his list of accomplishments.

Buck Ford continues to be a prominent figure in Country Music, celebrated for honoring traditional country roots while appealing to modern audiences with his warm stage presence, energetic performances and authentic style. His shows feature his original works combined with a mix of beloved country covers guaranteed to please any fan of Pure Country Music.

  • Arron Smith

    Drums

  • Alex Chaney

    Guitar

  • Josh Needleman

  • Gary Roda

    Pedal steel

Gary Roda’s musical journey has covered a lot of ground since he was inspired, along with a whole generation by TBOES (The Beatles on Ed Sullivan). After first picking up guitar in the early 60’s, he was later heavily influenced by the “West-Coast Country” movement, leading to his adding the far more addictive pedal steel guitar in 1973. Through the years, Gary has worked at every level from local bands to national recording and touring acts, and he’s been bringing his wealth of experience on pedal steel to every Buck Ford performance since 2018.
